Directions

1. Add the Song Information

Enter the song title, composer, and writer names. The title and composer are passed into the professional notation engine automatically, while the writer names stay visible above the score.

2. Choose the Tuba Layout

Melody / Single Staff is best for a solo tuba melody or lead line. Tuba / Two-Part Staff gives you separate Tuba 1 and Tuba 2 boxes and creates two connected staffs for a tuba duet or layered arrangement.

3. Write the Notes

• C D E F G A B are normal notes.
• c d e f g a b are one octave higher.
• C, moves a note lower and c' moves a high note higher.
• z creates a rest.
• | ends a measure.
• C2 doubles a note length; C/2 halves it.
• ^C is C-sharp, _B is B-flat, and =C is C-natural.
• Use brackets for notes played together, such as [CEG].
• Use parentheses for slurs, such as (CDEF).
• Use a dash for a tie, such as C2-C2.

4. Add Chord Symbols

Put the chord name inside quotation marks immediately before the note: "C"C D E F | "G"G A B c |.

5. Create the Music

Press Create / Update Sheet Music & Audio. The score is engraved by the real abcjs notation engine. The same click also prepares the audio player, which satisfies modern browser audio-security rules.

6. Hear the Song

Use the player below the score. The melody voices are played with a tuba sound. The player includes play, pause, stop, restart, seek, and loop controls. Use Tuba Playback Register to choose written pitch, one octave lower, or two octaves lower. If you change the notes or register, press Create / Update again before playing the new version.

7. Classical Tuba

Choose Tuba / Two-Part Staff, or press Load Classical Tuba Example. Tuba 1 and Tuba 2 are written on bass-clef staffs for a more natural low-brass range.

8. Save Your Work

Press Save Music Code to download the title, composer, writers, settings, and notes you entered. Press Save Audio to download the currently prepared performance as a WAV audio file.
